When are persistent variables saved to the fbd file?

Hi,

I need to know when a persistent variable is saved to the fbd file. When its value changes? At the end of the build? Even if the build failed?

Aaaaah! I was looking for a fbd file. There’s no .fbd file but .fbv files. The documentation needs a little fix.
