Using variables in username/password fields

I want to use variables in the username/password fields of repositories, as it is e.g. possible in FinalBuilder. But these variables are obviously not substituted.

 Is there any way to set a common repository username/password?

I don’t believe variables are supported in repositories, it’s on the todo list.
