We are currently using FinalBuilder, and we are very happy with the product. We are currently in the process of starting up a rather large project, and we are considering to use Visual Studio Team System 2008 and the corresponding Team Foundation Server.
I'm wondering about the timeline involved until FinalBuilder will support TFS and VSTS 2008. Can someone give me an educated guess?
An educated guess would be “soon”. We have a copy of Beta 2 here and we’re very interesting in testing it out and bringing our support up to date. I haven’t actually checked this yet, but I suspect that the source control integration from TFS 2005 will probably work with 2008. The other actions should require some tweaking to update them.
AFAIK, there is no official RTM release date for TFS 2008 as yet, so I can’t comment on whether support will be available before or after RTM. Are you planning on starting your project with Beta 2?
We also have some other plans for expanding FinalBuilder TFS support for TFS 2008…

Yes, we are planning on starting with Beta 2. Once we have set up a server and got the developers up to speed (which might take some time), we'll be happy to help out with any testing (in case you need it).
