I have FB 6.2 and Team Coherence 7.2. Shouldn't the Team Coherence actions be pulling the TC folders and views from TC into their list boxes? I have to manually enter the TC folder in the Get View and I have to manually enter the view into the TC Set View action. These listboxes are empty as no values are being retrieved. Am I doing something wrong? The build does work as long as I manually enter the correct values.
Also... I can't remember for sure, but I think this may have worked with TC 7.1. I recently upgraded to TC 7.2. But I am not positive that it worked before.
We don’t have TC7.2, so I cannot test it at this time. Do you know if anything has changed on the command line. The dialog to select folders etc calls the command line and parses the output. It uses the CD and Dir commands, if the output format of the Dir command has changed
I have to admit we haven’t paid much attention to TC lately, we used to use it here but switched to Surround a few years ago as support for TC left a lot to be desired and we needed more advanced branching features. I wasn’t even aware that it was still going, as all the people I know that used it have switched to other products. I’ll see if we can procure a copy of 7.2 to try.
I guess I don't know if they changed the command line, I don't see anything in the help file right off.
I think TC did seem die off for quite awhile but it appears they ramped things up again in the last year or so. I have used it for several years now so I went ahead and paid the upgrade price. Since Surround doesn't even list their price online, I doubt I could afford it.

Hi Vincent,
Did you ever get a chance to see if changes were made to TC's command line? I'm now also getting strange results on GET's now. During a GET where several files are retrieved ok, it gets to a particuar file where it stops with the error "Could not create local file". When I do the GET from TC itself I get no error. The file that is having the problem does not have any strange attributes set that are any different from the files that are being processed successfully. So I am not sure why this error would occur.
I’ve been looking into this, but have not found any command line changes that would impact on how FB is calling it. The “could not create local file” error is actually reported by TC… we check for that text in the captured output and fail the action if it’s seen. I have no idea what might cause that error in TC though. So far in my testing (with 7.2.1.31 eval) I haven’t seen any errors, but I only have a few files in the repository.
The TC Actions log their command line, so you could try running the command from the dos prompt and see if it gives the same error. That would rule in/out FB as a cause.
I finally figured out that I had a typo in my destination folder for the GET action. So it was just good-old-operater-error.
I'm still not sure why the listboxes in the FB actions are not getting populated from TC. Is this working for you? For instance on the "Get Files" tab of the GET action, when you click on the little icon for the "TC Folder" field which brings up the "Select TC Folder" dialog, is your Project drop-down list populated? Mine is blank. And so is all of the lists that should be populated for all of the TC actions.
