Slow "Vss Get Latest" Action

Hi

I am using Vss Get Latest Version for a large project. This takes a long time - 15 minutes. I noticed that if I do the Get  interactively, it is much faster - at least 3 times faster. Actually this isn't only from FinalBuilder - if I try a batch command using ss.exe , it is also very slow. Does anyone have a way to speed up the Vss Get? We are using version 6.0c of Vss.

One suggestion which might improve matters (but may not be practical) is gigabit ethernet. We upgraded our office network a while back and it made a huge difference to lots of apps (not source safe since we only really use it for testing).
