Hi, We need some help please. Our company has bought a site license for FB7 and we have installed FB fine and its up and running. However we are only able to have one person logged in at a time on the dashboard. Shouldnt a site license allow for infinate number of users to login to the dashboard at the same time with the same login? Our company's current license set up is : one site license with one user login. This setup was used on multiple build servers but again, only one person can be logged in at a time per server. It currently logs the first person off and the second person takes control of the userid.
What would I need to do to allow multiple users to login with the same login to Final Builder Server at the same time? Right now I have to have one license per login to allow multiple users. This issue is each login has to have different permissions. Example: 1 license with a login for admin rights and 1 license with a login for just kicking off builds. I want to have each of those logins to allow 3 users to login and make changes or kick off builds. How can this be accomplished without having a total of 6 licenses and not kicking the other off?
FinalBuilder Server is licensed on a user basis, so for a user to be able to kick builds off they need a login and will consume a user license. You need as many user licenses as you have active (enabled) login’s.
With our nextgen CI server product (currently in beta) we will be changing the way the licensing works (per concurrent build rather than user), it sounds like this might be more inline with your needs, if you are interested in participating in the beta then contact support@finalbuilder.com and we’ll provide access to the beta.
