I have been using FinalBuilder for quite a while now and love it to death. I feel like I'm not using its full potential though because i don't use any scripting in FinalBuilder.... Am i missing out on a massive array of extra functionality which could make my current processes even better or is FinalBuilder just as good without using scripts?
I don't get it.
If someone could provide me with some examples of using scripts, then i might be able to see how they relate to my projects.
Scripts can be very useful to achieve something that you can't do with the built-in actions. We are always interested in why people use script, and try to come up with ways so that scripts are used less. One example is that, in the past, you needed to write script to manage the various version numbers well (Major, Minor, Release, Build), but since we've introduced PropertySets and a whole bunch of actions to help manipulate them, scripting the version numbers is now a thing of the past :)
So, don't worry about scripting unless there's something you can't easily do with the built in actions!
