I’m trying to use the Beyond Compare action in FB5 for the first time. I’ve set the two files to be compared and set it to ‘Fail if Similar’ and ‘Fail if Mismatch’. The action is also set to ignore failures and is followed by a If Prev Action Failed action.
When running the project via the command line it gets as far as the Beyond Compare action but no further.
At this point Beyond Compare seems to start up (i.e. can see the main Beyond Compare comparisson window on screen) but nothing else happens.
If I manually close Beyond Compare the project will then continue.
If it makes any difference at this stage the two files are identical.
Is there something wrong with what I am doing or have I found a problem?
Cheers

What version of BC are you using. It sounds like something may have changed on the BC command line options. We’ll look into this today.
Version 2 build 170
Hi Paul,
I’ve just tested this with BC 2.4.1 (Build 241) and it’s working fine (both in the IDE and FBCMD). Can you update to a later version of BC and see if you still get the error?
.t8
I’ve now upgraded to BC 2.4.3 (Build 243) and this has solved my problem.
Cheers
