Persistent Variables again

I still have FB5 installed and am using Windows XP Home SP3.

Sorry, half the message seems to have disappeared! Here it is again:

Have upgraded to FB6 (6.1.0.750) and, yet again, I have a persistent variables problem. I run a project and enter all the persistent variables in an ‘Enhanced Prompt for variables’ dialog. The project completes ok and I check the FBPersistentVars.xml file in folder \UserName\Application Data\Finalbuilder6 and the variables are all there. I close and re-open FB6 and the variables have all disappeared.

I still have FB5 installed and am using Windows XP Home SP3.

Hi Andrew,

This is working for me with the latest build. Can you send us a small test project that shows the behaviour you’re seeing please.

Herewith a test project. This is part of a project upgraded from FB5. Although the project will fail, the persistent variables are saved. Close and re-open FB6 and then re-open the project - the variables in FBPersistentVars.xml have disappeared.

Here is the variables files also.

FBPersistentVars.xml (1.221 KB)

Thanks Andrew - reproduced now… should have a fix soon.

The bug is present when using user persistent variables, but works as expected when the persistent variables are project based - so if you want a temporary workaround just move all the persistent variables to the project.

please try this build:

https://www.finalbuilder.com/downloads/finalbuilder/610/FB610_804.exe

Thanks Tate, that seems to have fixed the problem.
