Hello,
At the moment of this writing i’m branching a VSS database with finalbuilder. In the commandline box that is open i see somthing that is not very good. In the command that is shown there the password is visible. This is the line that i see (some characters are replaced with ?)
Starting Directory: C:\Elpado\Releases
Parameters: Share $/Elpado/Current -I-Y “-GLC:\Elpado\Releases” -Yelp
ado_opl,?ub?bat? -R -C- “-P2.29.0.0” -E -G-
I can remember that in some actions “-Yelpado_opl,?ub?bat?” was subsituted with “-Y<LOGIN DETAILS>” which ofcourse is much better.
I saw that the label action also shows the password.
Regards,
Richard Floor
Hi Richard
Which version/build of FinalBuilder are you using? I’ve been looking through our source code, and it looks like this issue was addressed in FB6.0.0.725 - back in June last year.
Hi Vincent,
Sorry for the late reply.
I’m using Version: 6.2.0.1265 and i just started the build and in the command window i saw the user and password settings.

Hi Vincent,
I just installed version 6.3.0.1506 i still i get the next text in the command prompt:
[VSS Get Latest Version[ $/Elpado/Current/ ]]
Starting Directory: C:\Elpado\Current
Parameters: get $/Elpado/Current -I-Y “-GLC:\Elpado\Current” -Yelpado
_opl,g.be.at. -R -GTC -GF- -GWR -W
So i guess that this is still not resolved.

Richard Floor
Hi Richard,
Not sure how we missed this one but it’s now been fixed and we should have a new test build available soon.
Regards,
Paul.
Hi Richard,
Here’s the new build of FinalBuilder which should correctly hide the user credentials:

Paul.
Hello,
Sorry for the late response. I saw that the password wasn’t visible in the getlatest action. Comming friday i have to execute the branch action. If the password isn’t visible i will set this topic to resolved.
I have tested it and the password isn’t visible anymore.
