I keep our FB project files in Perforce, and therefore the local workspace file is read-only. Is there any problem running from a read-only FB project file? It seems to work, but just want to check...

No problems, Mike. The log file needs to be writeable, though (unless you use FBCMD with logging disabled, or logging to a temporary log file.)
Persistent variable files, etc. will need to be writeable if you want the values to persist (obviously.)
