Notification without using any Build-Runner

Hi there,

we dont get any Mail-Notification if we dont use any Buil-Runner.
We use Commandline-Compiler and all works fine.
But how we can use the Notification for Build-Success?

Use of a build runner has nothing to do with whether you get notifications. You need to create subscriptions to notification events. You also need to configure your email and/or xmpp publisher :

when does the event for “Build Success” happen?

We get EMails from Continua in case of a new Server Log Message.
So Mail Basicly works

Hi Sascha, thank you for your post. Unfortunately we have not been able to replicate this issue.

First thing to doublecheck would be that the group membership for ‘Notify PH Testrelease’ contains the users you are expecting.

In order to look further into this one we will require some additional information please (if any of this information is sensitive please send the information to support@finalbuilder.com):

1) Continua version number and edition:
eg. v1.0.0.3205 64 bit

2) Operating system for Continua and agents:
eg. Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard (Continua Server), Windows 8.1 Pro 32 bit (Agents)

3) Database platform:
eg. bundled PostgreSQL

4) How much CPU / RAM / Diskspace do you have free on the Continua server, agents, and database:
eg. 20% free cpu, 40% free RAM (10gig), 50% free hard disk (50 gig)

5) Screenshots of your setup (including the build that should have triggered the success message, the subscriber and publisher settings).

But,
exactly when the Mail event “Build Success” is triggered?

Some News…
Only one user dont get an email for "Build Success"
The Subscription-Notification ist for the Group “Registered Users”,
and the User is a Part of this Group.
All the 5 user get the Message “Build Startet” but only 4 user get the Message for “Build Success”.
The one who dont get the Message is me…

This is very strange. Do you have any individual subscriptions for your user only?

No, there is no other subscription for this user.

Can we check any logs from the Continua? (Debug mode…or something like that)
I want to make sure, the continua send this email.

I will check with the team tomorrow, not sure if there is any debug logging in that area, we tend to add debug logging as needed when investigating issues, we have not had any issues like this before. We’ll do some testing and see if we can replicate the problem first.
