Hi guys,
I have a query regarding LDAP users. We have requirements for every user in our department to be set up with Continua login - so we went for the LDAP approach. Currently from what I understand you have to manually add each LDAP user to Continua by selecting their email address from the drop down of synchronised users (and populating their name etc…). Is there any functionality in Continua that avoids us having to do this? For example can users be granted a Continua account automatically when they attempt to login with their windows credentials for the first time? (providing they are within the active directory OU I’ve specified). We require a large number of users (somewhere between 50 and 100) to be given access to Continua so the method of adding each member individually would seemingly be quite time consuming. Any suggestions for this adding / managing this many users?
Thanks,
Hi Luke thank you for your post.
Unfortunately we do not currently have a feature for automatically creating LDAP users in this way. We do have a process of allocating LDAP users to groups via the Ldap Group dropdown), however the user still must exist in Continua for that to be relevant.
This sounds like an extremely useful feature particularly for larger installations, we will make a note of this for further consideration.
Thanks again
