Management Service - Can't establish connection

I just installed a new build of FinalBuilder Server 6.2.0.651. I first uninstalled the previous version. During installation I opted to not install the management service since I was using the remoting to connect to a service on another machine. I have tried to apply the hostname of the management server on the remoting tab, but I’m still getting the follow error. (Looks like it’s still trying to connect locally.)

Ok very bizarre, it seems to have fixed itself. I haven’t even rebooted the machine and it seems to be connecting properly now. That is really bizarre.

Hi Nelson,

Make sure that you have the same version of FinalBuilder Server on both machines, that is the machine hosting the build service & website and the machine hosting the management service. You’ll also need to run ‘iisreset’ on the build machine once you’ve updated the management service.

I see. I guess I’ll have to install the management server on this machine. We have an increasing number of build servers (thanks in part to the ubiquity of virtual machines) and I would prefer to test out new builds before rolling them out to all servers.
