Get File Size action reports 0 length for file that does not exist

This behaviour is different from e.g. Calculate File CRC32 which fails if the specified file is not found.

Get File Size [c:\not\really\here.exe]
    Status: Completed
      Date: 28/05/2015
      Time: 17:36:39:721
       End: 17:36:39:781
  Duration: 00:00:00:060

Action Messages:
Source : c:\not\really\here.exe
Total Files : 0
Total Size in Bytes : 0
Total formatted size : 0 bytes
Success

Calculate File CRC32 [c:\not\really\here.exe]
    Status: Error
      Date: 28/05/2015
      Time: 17:39:33:430
       End: 17:39:33:430
  Duration: 00:00:00:000

Action Messages:
File not found: c:\not\really\here.exe

Hi Mr Rimmer,

I have updated Automise with a fix for this issue. You can find a new installation located here:

http://downloads.automise.com/downloads/automise/400/ATCMD400_855.exe
http://downloads.automise.com/downloads/automise/400/AT400_855.exe
http://downloads.automise.com/downloads/automise/400/AutomiseRunner400_855.exe

I get the following warnings after installing over an old (test) installation:

WARNING : Package file C:\Program Files (x86)\Automise 4\ActionDefs\VSoft.BeyondCompare.pkgx not found. This package has been removed from the Package Manager.
WARNING : Package file C:\Program Files (x86)\Automise 4\ActionDefs\VSoft.GetFileDate.pkgx not found. This package has been removed from the Package Manager.
WARNING : Package file C:\Program Files (x86)\Automise 4\ActionDefs\VSoft.MessageBoxes.pkgx not found. This package has been removed from the Package Manager.

Is this anything to be concerned about?

Hi Mr Rimmer,

If the following packages are listed in the package manager for Automise there is nothing to be concerned about.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Automise 4\ActionDefs\VSoft.BeyondCompare.pkg
C:\Program Files (x86)\Automise 4\ActionDefs\VSoft.GetFileDate.pkg
C:\Program Files (x86)\Automise 4\ActionDefs\VSoft.MessageBoxes.pkg

(Note that they are meant to be pkg files not pkgx files).

In a previous release these were marked for encryption. However as they are open source action packages they should have been left unencrypted, this is simply noting the encrypted packages are no longer present.
