Final Builder integration not appearing in visual studio 2008

Hi,

We are using FinalBuilder 6 but we are having trouble integrating it with Team Build in Team Foundation Server 2008. When we right click on the 'builds' folder in team explorer we don't get the option "New Build Definition With FinalBuilder..." As far as we can make out all other conditions for the integration are correctly installed and configured. The final builder plugin is shown in the Add-in Manager and the current configuration is set to load it at runtime. Everything looks entirely normal apart from being unable to see this menu option.

The only slightly unusual condition I can think of is that we are attempting to do this on an instance of Visual Studio installed on a Windows Server 2003 machine that is also hosting the Team Foundation Server instance. The other unusual condition is that both final builder and visual studio are not installed at their default location but are installed at the root of a seperate partition.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Evan

Has anyone had a similar issue to this or experienced any difficulty getting final builder integrated with visual studio 2008?

Hi Evan

The usual cause of this is that Finalbuilder was installed after team explorer. So, first make sure team explorer is installed, then re-install FinalBuilder (you can just install over the existing install, you don’t need to uninstall).
