Extract Version Info fails when version info not in file

Extract Version Info action fails when version info not in file even with 'Ignore version information fields that aren't found' set.

Error in build log is:

Version Information block not in file

Getting file version information failed.

.....Becuase the ignore version fields that aren't found is checked I exepect the return to be a blank string (the help indicates this).

Hi Jeff

This option is only designed to ignore missing version attributes, not the version info block itself.

I have added an additional option to ignore missing version info block. In this case all variables defined to store a version information field will be set to an empty string.

I will post the build with this change here shortly.

That seems to work for me. My script now fails on the Get File/Folder date but that’s a different issue.

Is/was there some sort of conversion guide. The script worked great in FB3 and is now broken.
