Error Zipping File

Hi,

I use the action "Create Zip" to bundle binaries (aprox. 300MB) of a complete product for archive purposes. I don't use any compression to improve performance of the action. Sometimes I get the error below, even though there's enough disk space. The system has limited memory. It's a VM running Windows XP Professional with 384MB of memory.

I can’t seem to pinpoint the problem what is causing this error to occur.

Error zipping file: c:\temp\myzip.zip
not enough room to write archive

Anny help is welcome

Hi Alfred,

We haven’t come across this error before. What version of FinalBuilder are you using? Maybe it’s running out of space in your temp directory? Have you tried to increase the memory to the vm temporarily to see if that makes any difference?

cheers,
tate.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

We are still testing the results but it looks like the error message was correct after all. Eventhough the free disk space was just under 1GB, BGInfo which we use to identify VM’s on the desktop, reported earlier less than 250MB of disk space. This promted me to move this build to a different VM in order to free up disk space.
