Hi,
Currently we have a scheduled backup for our Subversion server occurring every night. For the backup we shut down the access to the server.
This results in number of errors being emitted to the Continua system log every night due to Continua obviously not being able to access the repositories.
Is there something that could be done, so that we could avoid having those issues in the Continua event log possibly obscuring real issues?
Hmmm… we definitely need to do something. I think we need to add an option to disable the repository monitoring between certain times. I’ll talk to the team tomorrow, not sure we’ll have it done for the first release but should be high on the list for a point release. We’re currently working on sorting out the ldap support (we found lots of issues during testing) and the website with a view to releasing in the next few weeks.
+1 on scheduled down times!
The plan is to be able specify which days the repository will poll on, and also add down times (ie don’t poll between 10 and 11am). Also an option to disable the repository altogether (without deleting it). Vinnie started working on this today, should make it into a build in the next day or two.
