Email Issue

The Email function stopped working from one of my build machines. The only change to the machine that I can tell, is Windows Updates and a reboot. The machine that is still working, I have not rebooted. Anyone see something similar?

Checkif windows firewall is blocking finalbuilder. I've had my firewall settings change after a windows update before.

I’ve encountered occasional problems with the email action, and it has been resolved by deleting the log file (.fbl4) and allowing FB to create a new one.

Sorry for the lack of information, here is the error message.

Unable to Send Message (Connect)
Socket Error # 10053
Software caused connection abort.

FB is in the exceptions area of my firewall.

I was hoping this was it.

I deleted the fbl4 and let FB create another. Sorry no luck.

Do you use McAfee Virusscan? I had an issue where the latest version was blocking FB from connecting to port 25.

Paul,

You hit the nail on the head.

I right clicked on the Virus Scan icon, opened the VirusScan Console, Clicked the Access Protection task, Clicked the Label "Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail" and Clicked Edit, then added FinalBuilder4.exe to the list.
