G’Day,
- I have seen this with 6.3.1506 (not yet tested 6.3.1574). It is repeatable every time on my notebook.
- I have a DVD burn action set up to get . recursively on off a mapped drive (drive is already mapped at startup and not part of the FB script).
- On my desktop it works perfectly. On my notebook it only includes some of the files (most notably it includes 2 of the 4 folders so I get a burn of ~600MB as opposed to the expected ~1100MB). Trying this on a different notebook I briefly had access to does not exhibit this problem.
In all cases:
- Drive mapping was to the same letter with the same user credentials
- All machines running XP SP3 fully patched
- Same DVD media used
My notebook that it failed on is a Sony VAIO VGN-FZ25G with a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K17. This notebook burns other DVD’s faultlessly using both Nero and ImgBurn.
Any ideas?

Hi
I’m not able to reproduce this here. Is there anything special about the folders that are not included? Are they hidden? I don’t believe this has anything to do with the dvd burner hardware, more likely something to do with the filesystem, permissions (finalbuilder is obviously not seeing the files/folders) or windows networking.
Hi Vincent,
No I kept everything the same ie.
- Login on XP client was same in both cases
- Drive mapping was done the same way with the same credentials
- Used the same folder location
- Remote location is a SAMBA volume
- All permissions look the same under SMB (Windows XP) as well as under Linux for all folders

The only suggestion I have is to copy the files locally and then burn the local copy to DVD. We don’t have a SAMBA volume to test with here and have very little linux experience so I’m afraid I don’t have any other suggestions to offer.
