Good day and sorry for my english. The first time I try to work with FinalBuilder, has installed version 7.0.0.1065. For the assembly it is supposed to use the separate server, without a superfluous software as Delphi 2007 and components. Has very much surprised that fact that FinalBuilder doesn't work without setting in addition a software. After all all that it is necessary to specify a way to a small dial-up of applications DCC32.EXE, brcc32.exe... And ways to source codes of components. Then what for it is necessary FinalBuilder if already is installed Delphi 2007. Scripts written on "make" it is easy with it consult.
Advise that it is possible to make what to use FinalBuilder without installed Delphi 2007.
Well we haven’t written our own delphi compiler, so if you want to build delphi projects then yes, you do need delphi installed on the build machine.
FinalBuilder looks in the registry under : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\BDS\5.0 or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Borland\BDS\5.0 for the RootDir value to detect the location of Delphi 2007. You can just copy the bin and lib folders from another machine, and create the needed registry entries (you will need to add the library path values etc as well).
Thanks you for the answer. I will try to make under your recommendations. Viewed a forum and saw that I am not lonely in attempts to get rid of installation Delphi, there were topics with a similar problem. Probably it is necessary to give in the message text the reference in help with the description as it is possible to solve this problem. It would be still very convenient to set simply the same variable CB2007DIR and everything, and records in the register as alternative.
