Data from several FBserver in one dashboard

Hi all,

We are evaluating FinalBuilder and FinalBuilder Server in our company and have come across an issue which is unclear;

Is it possible to collect and display data and logs from several FB or FBS in a centralized location? I will try to describe how we envisioned using FB and FBS in our company.

  1. We have several projects being developed in parallel, each project has a development stream and a QA stream.
  2. There are app. 10 development streams, each of which needs a build job when the repository changes, i.e. 10 build jobs. I guess all jobs can run on the same server - no problem so far.
  3. On one, perhaps two QA streams we need to execute several test jobs. A test job can take anything from 1 minute to 3 days to execute. Thus we need several machines (app. 10) with FB to execute all the test jobs. This is where the problems starts. How can we manage (start jobs) and get reports from all FB machines in one web page (FBS)?

Hi Kresten,

FinalBuilder Server does not currently have support for displaying multiple build servers on a single web dashboard, it requires you to setup a different web site for each build server. We’re planning to look into adding this feature in a future version.
