Connection to remote Perforce Host

Hi,

I have a weird problem when trying to connect to remote Perforce Server. I have a local Server also installed and for some reason FB tries to connect ONLY to the local server, even after I put in Tools-Options the address of the remote server, I also tried to overide in the Perforce action itself with no success. For some reason FB only looks at my local server.

Can you please help?
NirS

Sorry, we’re not Perforce experts… FB uses the P4.exe for the Perforce actions, so see if you can figure out how to make P4 do what you want it to, and then we can help you map that to the fields in the Perforce actions. Do you have a Perforce expert you can ask, or maybe you can ask the Perforce support people?

OK I’ll refine my question…my problem is not with Perforce, I think I was not clear enough, I apologize.
I configured Perforce in Tools- Options, i set the host of our P4 Server IP, my username, password and client…

My problem is when I set up a Perforce Sync action and I click Add… in the depot and files pane, then in the next screen FB tries to connect to the configured P4 host to get the directory list, it tries to connect to my locally installed server (ie 127.0.0.1 which is the perforce default) and not the one I configured in Tools-Options.

When i actually run the action it behaves ok.

Maybe it is the intenrtional behaviour, I just want to know.

Thanks,
NirS

Please ignore my latest reply… I think I found the problem.
