Borland Delphi for .NET - Delphi 2007

Hi,

Borland have just released an updated version of Delphi Radstudio 2007 which supports the compilation of .NET. I have upgraded to Final Builder 5.5.518 but have noticed (obviously due to it being too recent) that final builder doesn't have any options to select Delphi 2007 as the Default Compiler Version.

Am I over looking something here?

OR

How long will it be until Final Builder supports Delphi 2007 for .NET?

Cheers

Hi Cameron,

Sorry, D2007 .Net support is currently being worked on. We should have an eta for you early next week.

cheers,
tate.

No worries Tate.

Thanks for that.

Hi Cameron

I’m afraid Delphi.NET 2007 support is going to take a bit longer than expected. While we have the action working, the resulting executables seem to be invalid, they crash on startup. At this stage we have been unable to figure out why, so we will have to report this to CodeGear and see what happens.

Any news on this lately?

Cam

Hi Cameron,

Not as yet, sorry.  As Vincent said, this seems to be a problem with the Delphi.NET command line compiler.

The workaround we are recommending for now is to use the MSBuild Action to build the .dproj files. Hopefully that's of some use to you.

Regards,

Angus
