2 Finalbuilder projects sharing info (undesired)

Hi,

I have an existing FinalBuilder project and wanted to make a variation, so I did Save As and saved it under another name.

When I now edit the options of any of the two projects (in particular sourcesafe settings) it is also changed in the other project!

I have 2 projects:
project1.fbw
project1.fbz5
project2.fbw
project2.fbz5

And when I change the options I see that only the date modified of the files of one project change, but still the change exists in both projects.

I'm probably doing something wrong. What is the correct way to make a copy of an existing project?

Hi Jeffrey,

The Options, ie under Tools -> Options, are shared for all FinalBuilder projects. They’re like options for Visual Studio or some other Windows program.

If you want to change settings for one particular action, open the property page and edit it there. In the case of VSS, the “Override Global Options” tab allows you to specify a particular SS.INI file and username/password for an action, instead of reading this data from the options.

Thanks, I think I need to get a bit more familiar with the tool and also read the docs .

Great product BTW, I'm so glad I didn't go for scripting it all by myself .
