# Wrong Build Version

If i start a new build, its showing the correct build version for a short time. then it switches always to “1” until its finished. then it shows the correct version again.

I’m not able to reproduce this here, hoping this is not an april fools joke? Are you dynamically setting the build version during the build process (either via the Set Build Version action, or via formatted messages or FinalBuilder)?

yes, during the first stage, we set the build version. however, we use the version counter for this, so the displayed version in 1.5 was e.g. “53” (current counter value) until we set the version e.g. to “4.2.700.53”.
if i now start a build (on the configuration view). the version number is “53”. After 3 seconds, it switches to “1” (when “Stage Initialising” is displayes"). and then, for sure, its correct again after the “Set Build Version” action was triggered.

I’ve still not been able to reproduce this here, but I am still looking into it. I haven’t been able to find any change that looks like it might cause it so far (lots of changes to look through).

Can you send us a diagnostics report (by email), you can find it on the eventlog page [http://yourserver/administration/events](http://yourserver/administration/events)
A debug log would also be useful so we can see what is happening during the build :
