# VSS Encoding

I am using VSS Add Files to add many files toVSS. The Auto Detect option is causing pdf files to not have the correctencoding type of binary.   
  
The vss.ini has the Binary\_Masks set to include.pdf files. Is there a way for FinalBuilder to work correctly with thatsetting?

Hi  
  
I just had a look at this, Finalbuilder is specifying the correct command line options to ss.exe. The command line does use the Binary\_Masks values and it appears to work ok here (using ss 6.0d). All I can suggest is to add the pdf files first and specify Binary as the file type. Then add the rest of the files.
