# Variable intellisense chops off remaining text

Hi Final Builder team,  
  
Here’s an issue that you may like to look at. After you use the variable intellisense to insert a variable in the middle of some existing text, the remaining text is chopped off  
  
eg.  
  
You have a variable like this  
  
P:\Development\HelpMaster Pro 7.5\Installation\Include files\Documents\readme\_template.rtf  
  
And you want to replace the “7” with the variable %VERSION\_MAJOR%  
  
After positioning the cursor over the 7 and selecting the variable from Intellisense you get this…  
  
P:\Development\HelpMaster Pro %Version\_Major%  
  
the rest of the text was chopped off!

Hi Rod,  
  
Yep, see what you mean.  
  
Vincent will look after this one, but as a workaround if you type %% and then left arrow the cursor back between the %'s, it works without chopping any of your text off.
