# Unable to get EMail action to work

Hello,

&nbsp;

I'm trying to get the EMail action to work in FB6 and having some trouble.

I am able to send email from the machine with another EMail application without an issue so there is no firewall issue. All the information as far as smtp server, ports, accounts appears to be correct in the EMail action dialogs. My email server uses an SSL authenticated SMTP connection. Are SSL SMTP connections supported?

The error returned from finalbuilder is:

Unable to Send Message (Connect)  
Read Timeout

Action works through port 25 so it does appear to be an ssl smtp port issue. Anyway to use an encrypted SMTP connection?

 Unfortunately encrypted SMTP is not supported.

1) Are there any plans to support TLS & SSL in future?

2) Also what SSL support is now included with Finalbuilder 6 as I know some stuff was added in 5 when I had previous problems SSL wise.  
  
3) Is the only alternative for secure email sends to use stunnel or are there other work arounds? (I need to get this working in FB4 to start with and then later port to FB6)
