# Support for XAML builds is removed from TFS 2018

Hi,
Microsoft has announced that TFS 2018 will not support XAML builds (see [https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/news/releasenotes/tfs2018-relnotes#xaml](https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/news/releasenotes/tfs2018-relnotes#xaml)).
Is there already an alternative to TFS XAML builds in FB, or are there plans to support the new TFS build type?

Yes, we have had a VSO task for 2 years - [https://github.com/VSoftTechnologies/FinalBuilder-VSO](https://github.com/VSoftTechnologies/FinalBuilder-VSO) - that said, it has not been tested with tfs2018 yet, on my list to look at over the next few weeks.
I’m quite happy to see the back of the xaml builds, they were a pain to support and each new tfs version would cause us weeks and weeks of work (just getting it to compile was a nightmare!).

Great! Will jump right into getting it to work on one of our TFS 2015 instances. Then onto our TFS 2018 test instance.
Agree on the xaml builds. They are a pain to use!
