# Suggestion - simulated run

Hi,
During a presentation I made today about FB, I was asked whether I can run a simulation run meaning to see the flow and inputs + action inputs but without actually running the action… I said no I have to disable actions for this…
So I think it’s a ctually a good idea to make a simulation mode without actually risking to do any damage… this can be also very good for debugging.

Hi NirS,
Not sure how this would work, as it seems you want some actions to work but not others? ie. in simulation mode what would actually happen if the actions weren’t allowed to run?

For example it can show the command line of an action without running it, but it is more for the flow and testing variables.

ah, ok, so the actions that call an external tool using the command line could half run, ie. they do everything except actually call the external tool. That sort of thing might be possible, I’ll add it to the R&D list.
