Hello Support Team,

The String Pos action sets the output variable to 0 in any case the input text is empty.

In general an output variable of 0 indicates the input string starting with the search string.

Please refer to the attached project.

Would you mind to set the output variable to -1 to become the output variable meaningful without the vecessarity to also check the input string?

Thanks in advance

Michael

Hi Michael,

This issue is fixed in the following build: [https://www.finalbuilder.com/downloads/finalbuilder/aex6/FB700\_1515.exe](https://www.finalbuilder.com/downloads/finalbuilder/aex6/FB700_1515.exe)

The output variable will now be set to -1 when the start index is greater than the length of the string.

Regards,
Steve
