# String Padding

Hi Support Team,
I want to use a project variable to define the Pad Length for the String Padding Action.
Unfortunately it seems that variables are not supported in this field. Until now I was sure that variables can be used anywhere... ?

Hi Michael,
There was a bug in the validation logic of this action that caused a validation error to be thrown if the value entered in the Pad Length field was not an integer value.
