Hello,

I'm trying to use a ST Generic Action, but i do not manage to get it right (FB 5.0.130, Sarteam v6)

To test it, i just wanted to lock a file:
- I overrided my default ST configuration to point to a test project
- I selected LCK in "Starteam Command" combo
- I entered -p "user:pwd@server:port/project/folder" "file" into the Command Line

When i run the action, it fails without any errors in the log (even no ignored errors).
It works fine if i use the stcmd in a command shell (stcmd lck -p "user:pwd@server:port/project/folder" "file")
It works fine with a ST lock Action, but i need to get ST generic action working for others tasks.

What 's wrong ? known issue ?
Thanks,
Fabien

FB 5.0.130

hello,

I downloaded version 5.0.168, and indeed, they were some changes into the Starteam generic action.
But i still have a problem:
- If I setup my action to "Automatically add server...",
- Then I enter a view name and a Folder hierarchy,
- Then i save my project and close the application,
- If i reopen the project, the view name and Folder hierarchy have disapeared,

Did i miss something ? Thanks,

Fabien

Do these problems exist in FB4? If so, any chance of fixing them?

Hi Ken,

The bugs were in features which were added for FB 5, so there shouldn’t be anything that needs fixing. If there is anything not working in the ST Generic action in FB 4, please let us know and we’ll get it fixed.

thanks for your fast reply !
Unit test is ok, i will go further with my project.

Do u plan to release a FB501 ? i think that build download are delivered “as this”, and i suppose that they are cumulative.
i’m afraid of regression or behaviour change.

Hi Fabien,

Our policy is not to change any behaviour inside a major version. We are planning a 5.1 update at some point in the future.

We also update the official build version (available on the downloads page) periodicially (currently it’s 5.0.0.130.)

Regards,

Angus
