# Signotaur with a network HSM

Hey,
we have outgrown the capabilities of our USB Token that came with our certificate and are currently looking into buying a Network HSM. The HSM claims PKCS#11 compatibility.
For simplicity we would prefer to keep using signotaur in future. Has it been tested with network HSMs?

Hi Christoph
We have not tested with any network hsm’s - they are unfortunately out of our budget - not sure if you have investigated the costs but they are not cheap!
In theory, any device with pkcs#11 drivers _should_ work, however we have found that even with the few devices we have tested, there are diffferences in the implementation.
So they may or may not work with Signotaur - that’s really about the best answer we can offer at the moment.
