# Reload custom action packages

The shortcut key, Alt+L, doesn’t work - it seems to highlight the Action Types panel instead. Also, a global shortcut key would be welcome.

Hi Steve,
Thanks, we’ll look into it.
Did you know that every package you save in Action Studio is reloaded automatically if you have the “Tell FinalBuilder to reload…” option turned on in the Action Studio preferences?(_) This option is on by default._

_(_) The only times it won’t reload automatically is when a property page is open, or while a build is running. In these cases, you can always modify and re-save the package later to get it to reload.

Hi Steve,
It was added at the same time as the normal action reloading functionality. I know it totally changed the way I develop custom action packages. 🙂
