I don’t know if this is a bug-report, or more of a wish-list item, but here goes:

When you save a project as .fbp, it’s obviously an XML file. I’ve noticed an inconsistency with the format however. With an empty item, it sometimes leaves it blank, and sometimes inserts a new-line. For example:
Some times it saves like this:
(Property)(/Property)
And sometimes it does it like this:
(Property)
(/Property)

I check my FBP files into source control, and this inconsistency makes it a annoyance when I want to compare different revisions of a project file because it throws up a lot more “changes” than I’m interested in.

**EDIT:** Oops, looks like my tags got filtered. Changed angle bracket to round brackets

Is this specific to a certain field or action? We did make some changes to this very recently (will get you the exact build number on Monday), that’s very likely to effect this.

I haven’t noticed anything specific like that, but I haven’t really looked either.
I’m using 4.2.0.305 if that means anything to you.

ah, didn’t realise you’re on FB4.

Would it be possible for you to try the latest FB5 build and see if it’s still happening there?
