# Project changes not saved - v518

I just did a lot of changes to my project.&nbsp; I opened Tools -\> Edit Variables to check to see if I had deleted an old, no longer used variable.&nbsp; I had already done that, so I clicked Cancel on the Edit Variables dialog.&nbsp; I clicked the "X" in the upper right to close the project.&nbsp; I thought that FB would prompt me to save the project - it DID NOT!&nbsp; ugh!&nbsp; This is in&nbsp;version 518.

Hi Brian,   
  
 Sorry that you lost some changes. I tried to reproduce this but it worked as expected for me. Whenever a change is made to the current project, a “Modified” message appears on the FinalBuilder statusbar, and the only thing that clears this is when you save a project. Maybe the changes you were making weren’t triggering the Modified flag…? what kind of changes were you making?
