Hi,

Is it possible to build a web service DLL project using "Build VS.NET Solution"? I tried and somehow FB6 was not able to detect the web service DLL ... is this a problem with my eval copy or is there any setting I have missed??? I know I could do it using "MSBuild Project" but "Build VS.NET Solution" has more feature set like setting the "Output Directory Path" and "Apply To Project" option that I wish to have ... (note Pdaservice being the web service DLL consumes the FidelioSPMS.dll as its common code library.)

I am running on FB6.1.0.887 btw.

Thanks.

Hi,

May be I was not clear enough ... basically I need to be able to set the "Output Directory Path" and have FB6 build only the web service DLL project and not the others for that particular solution ... how can I achieve this?

Thanks.

This is probably the same as the other VS issue you posted, you need to provide reference paths to the built copies of the other assemblies otherwise visual studio will build the dependencies as well.

... it is strange, somehow "Build VS.NET Solution" doesn't like web service project and so i was forced to use "MSBuild Project" for building it. Then I got around the "Output Directory Path" with Files and Directory command (not really an FB expert so reverting to using manual method ) ... it is sorted now anyway ... Thanks!

Another question, for my eval copy I am using 6.1.0.887, to order the official version, what revision should I ask for? Is it also 6.1.0.887? Thanks a million ...

The eval and official versions are the same - when you apply your license key the eval turns into the official version.
