# Possible to get FinalBuilder version as variable?

&nbsp;Is there a way to get the FinalBuilder version in a variable? &nbsp;I'd like to raise an exception if versions older than X try to execute my scripts.

If I use the Extract Version Info action to extract FileVersion from %FBDIR%\FinalBuilder6.exe would that be the recommended way?

 We don’t currently set a variable with the version information. Using the Extract FileVersion method should work fine.
