# Persist Event Handler Lock Timeout is always 0

Hi Guys,

For some reason - recently we have been getting more sporadic errors of lock timeouts for persist event handlers (probably due to high network latency between our CCI Server & agents)

| Executing event handlers for ‘On Stage Completed’ build event  
Executing handler ‘PrevRevision Persist Event Handler’ for build event ‘On Stage Completed’ |
| --- |
| Unable to persist to server variable PrevRevision because it is locked for writing. Lock timeout of 0 milliseconds has expired at 8:48:47 AM (server time). |
| Executing handler ‘PrevGitCommitId Persist Event Handler’ for build event ‘On Stage Completed’ |
| Unable to persist to server variable PrevGitCommitId because it is locked for writing. Lock timeout of 0 milliseconds has expired at 8:48:47 AM (server time). |

When trying to change the build event handler’s lock timeout in its options - to a different value (say, 3 seconds) - I save the form but the value remains 0  
(when opening the options page again to make sure)

- I believe this is an old bug that was previously handled and somehow re-surfaced.

We’re on 1.9.2.1522 , I will update to latest soon but didn’t see any comment about this issue in the release notes (Version History page)

Hi Arik,

Thanks for reporting this - we can reproduce the issue here. There is a bug in the serialisation of the time span for the Lock Timeout field. We hope to release a fix for this tomorrow.

[Version 1.9.2.1706](https://www.finalbuilder.com/forums/t/continua-ci-v1-9-2-1706-released/7822) includes a fix for this issue.
