# Partial "Export Log"

Hi

The first part of my build is not interesting for me to log, so it would be nice to have an Action that could turn logging on and off. I could start with turing it off, and then Turn it on when it gets interesting, and the Export Log would give me only what I need - or maybe there is already a way to do this?

There is a “suppress log messages” option on each action, on the Runtime tab.

Yes, but if I check the " Suppress Log Messages" I still get one line in the log (Even if it does not have the view option on the side). I have a loop with lots of "set Variable" actions, and i still see them. - I am using Export Format HTML, if it matters.

I noticed the same thing long time ago. See explanation below if I remember rightly.  
  
because of the structure of FB files and the structure that need to be there for the logging at least one line is needed.   
  
Say you have a parent action with suppress log message, where would logging of childs go if there was no entry for the parent.
