MSSQL Execute SQL (SQLCmd) fails when using dotted server name

(Heath) #1

Hi,

We have moved some of our SQL tables to Azure SQL, but the SQLCmd is failing when the server contains dotted notation, e.g. “MyOrg.database.windows.net”.

“Sqlcmd: Error: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0 : Cannot open server ‘MyOrg’ requested by the login.”

I’m running FinalBuilder 8.0.0.2538.

Regards,
Heath

False alarm, now working!

Needed to add the FinalBuilder machine IP to Azure allowed access list.

Thanks,
Heath
