Hi,

I am new to finalbuilder. Is it possible to create MSI file from Finalbuilder?

I am using finalbuilder to compile set of activex dlls and ocx (vb). I just wanted

to create MSI (set up files) from the resulting exe and supporting dlls and ocx files using finalbuilder. Please let me if anyone knows available option in finalbuilder for this (I am using standard version)?

Hi Sowmya,

FinalBuilder supports a variety of tools which can create MSI installers, including all of the major commercial installer tools.

If you're after a free and simple solution, I'd suggest maybe trying out the free MSI tool WiX to create your MSI projects:

Or, if you don't need to create an MSI installer, Inno Setup is free and quite good (and fully supported by FinalBuilder as well):

Regards,

Angus
