# Losing FTP Connection Name

Under certain circumstances, FB gets confused about the correct FTP Connection to use in the FTP actions, and erroneously reports "Not connected" for those actions. Closing FB and re-opening makes the problem go away, so I personally don't view this as a high-priority item, but I did waste some time diagnosing, and it may be a symptom of larger issues.
Repro steps:
1. Create a simple set of FTP actions, e.g., FTPConnect -\> FTP List Directory - FTP Disconnect. Make sure they work.
2. Create a second set of similar actions, but **use the same FTP Connection Name**. Click 'Run'. FTP reports an error/warning to the effect of duplicate connection name.
3. Delete the second set of FTP actions. Re-run.
**Expected:** 1st set of actions runs successfully
**Actual:** 1st set of actions report "not connect" and fail.
4. Close FB and re-start. Problem goes away.

Hi William,
Thanks for reporting this. Presumably you copied & pasted the actions to get the duplicate connection name?
It’s definitely a bug - will fix for next minor release.
