I would like the Version Info tab of the Build VS.NET Solution to work more like the Assembly Info tab. Right now it is an all or nothing update. Things like description or original file name can't be set at the solution level. It would be nice to select what gets updated and the rest left alone.<br>
```
Hi Micheal
That probably won’t happen for the [VS.NET](http://VS.NET) action, however its possible we could add a seperate action which would allow you to do something like that, I’ll add it to the todo list.
If that is the path you would like to take, I would like to make some suggestions then.
The easiest way for the user (since it is in a different action) would either change the Win32 Version Info Updater actionor make a new one just like it to take project and solution files along with .rc files. If the user chooses one of these, it would search the project or solution for all resource files that is applicable. I would also like it not to require a propery set. While I really like the concept of property sets and would use them a lot, sometimes we have a build error. After I fix the error, I would like the build to continue. Since property sets aren’t persistent, the values would be gone. I already made a suggestion to either have a setup action list or make these persistent to take care of that problem.
Thanks for all the quick responses we get from you. You are great at letting us know if suggestions are able to be added soon or down the line.
Hi Michael
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll discuss it with the team next week. BTW, I do like the idea of setup & teardown action lists!
