# FTP upload to Linux server creates folders using backslashes

Using FinalBuilder 7.0.0.515 with a fileset to perform a Linux FTP server (openSUSE 11 - VSFTPd) upload of the following structure...
level1/level2/myfile.txt
The log file shows this...
File Uploaded : 15 KB
04/04/2011 15:27:27 : CWD /srv/www/myfolder
04/04/2011 15:27:27 : MKD level1\level2
Created remote dir: level1\level2
Changing to remote dir: level1\level2
The following folder is created containing myfile.txt
level1\\level2 **(notice the two backslashes which may be the FTP server escaping '\')**

As a first step can you please update to the latest version - there’s been a lot of bug fixes and enhancements in the last 500 or so builds 🙂 [https://www.finalbuilder.com/download.aspx](https://www.finalbuilder.com/download.aspx)
In the mean time I’ll try and replicate your problem with the latest build.

FYI, I can reproduce the problem here. I’m yet to determine if it’s just vsftp that’s the issue, but I’ll look into it and get back to you.

Hi Ben,
I'm now running the latest build (7.0.0.1065). I seem to have an issue with the 'check for updates' functionality which didn't tell me about the new release. One for another thread.
If you have a fix for the FTP upload issue for me to test let me know.

I have put in a fix for the FTP Upload issue. Could you please test this and confirm whether it solves your problem?
