# FTP Upload doesn't work

Hello Everybody

I work with FB 6.3.0.2026 and I have a problem with the _FTP Upload_ action, because it's really slow, as exampel, I have a HTML-help (more or less 950 files) which I have to copy up to the FTP-server. When I copy these files about _Total Commander_ it needs 7 to 8 minutes to copy but when I try the _FTP Upload_ action of FinalBuilder it's after 40 minutes still not finish, when I break the action and watch on the FTP-server what files there are, I only see one file with a file size of 0 KB...

I hope you can help me.

If the FTP Upload action didn’t work we would have heard a lot more about it… in fact you wouldn’t be using Finalbuilder since we use it as part of our build process to upload to our webservers.   
  
 This sounds to me like a firewall issue. Make sure windows firewall isn’t blocking FinalBuilder (if I had a dollar for every time windows firewall turned out to be the problem…) Turn on Detailed logging on the FTP connection action and on the upload action. Also, try turning on Passive Mode. Other than that we would need more information to help diagnose this issue, such as which windows OS, which FTP server etc.

 It was really a firewall issue… _hand a dollar_   
 I didn’t really think that it’s a action issue, but I didn’t found another assertion for my problem.
