Hi All.

Using FinalBuilder 5.5.0.707 to build a .NET, C#-based product.

Total project contains many solutions.

Some of our solutions ( **.sln** ) contain ~100 projects ( **.csproj** ).

When the build fail, I get the failing solution, but finding the failing project is a real PITA.

using "Shoe Error Log" I get a window with thousands of lines, and I have to find in it the line (or lines) with " **Number of failures = x**" or the line with " **x errors**", where x != 0.

When I use Visual Studio, In adition to the "Show Output" window, I have an "Error List" window, which shows me the actual, offending project(s).

Of course, VS will actually take me tho the offending line, but I do not ask FinalBuilder to do that. all I ask is some help in sorting through thousand lines of cruff to find the one (or two or three...) projects which failed the build.

Finding those lines in the log is a huge PITA. however, so far I did not find a way to sanely search in the log in order to locate the trouble project.

Any tip/trick/idea of how to make the task of finding the problem in the FinalBuilder log would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Joe,

Probably not the answer you want, but if you upgrade to FinalBuilder 6 you’ll find it’s much easier to search the log. Plus you get highlighted error lines, hierarchial logging within an action, etc.
